World Sherry Day- 26 May 2013

It's the First Official 'World Sherry Day' on Sunday 26 May

And what better reason do you need to get over to Waiheke Island and Casita Miro this Weekend?

To celebrate the inaugural World Sherry Day, why not visit us and enjoy our beautiful set lunch menu created by Chef Logan Coath. Each course will be matched with a different style of Sherry from one of four 'bodegas'.

World Sherry Day is being celebrated at approximately 260 events in 26 countries around the globe. We are the only restaurant in New Zealand celebrating this year but hopefully there will be plenty more in coming years. Click here to find out more about World Sherry Day and here to read about Sherry on Wikipedia.

Our selection of gorgeous Sherries come from small 'Bodegas' (houses) near the town of 'Jerez de la Frontera' in Andalucia and were hand picked and imported by proprietor Cat Vosper on her travels in Spain last year.

Ranging from dry, crisp Fino through nutty, rich Amontillado and sticky, sweet Pedro Ximenez, is there anything more satisfying than enjoying great Sherry with great cuisine? Come and see for yourself.
