And finally, something very special. Not so much a finale for this year's Jazz Series, but rather an official/unofficlal opening party for the 2025/26 Summer Season here at Casita Miro. This Labour Weekend we will be celebrating in true Andalucian style. There will be Flamenco! There will be Sherry! We may even have to put a Puchero on the menu for this one!
Casa Puchero is a spirited Flamenco music duo based in Auckland, New Zealand, featuring Victor Garcia on vocals and Oden Pemberton on flamenco guitar. Rooted in tradition but infused with global soul, Casa Puchero brings the fiery rhythms and heartfelt laments of Flamenco to life—serving up everything from the upbeat grooves of tangos, rumbas, and bulerías, to the deeply emotional strains of soleá and taranta.Drawing inspiration from legends like Paco de Lucía, Camarón de la Isla, Luis de Pica, and María del Tango, as well as unexpected icons like Bob Marley and the comforting spirit of paella, Casa Puchero delivers performances that are both technically rich and emotionally raw.The name Casa Puchero—which translates to “Homemade Stew”—reflects the duo’s essence: nourishing, authentic, and made with soul. It’s not just a name, but a symbol of comfort and unity. Though Victor and Oden hail from opposite sides of the world, they were both raised with puchero on the table—a humble, hearty dish with roots in Spain and found across Latin America and the Philippines. That shared cultural thread flavors their music, creating a "home away from home" experience for listeners.Casa Puchero isn’t just about performance—it’s about connection. Their music invites you to stir the pot of your emotions, awaken your spirit, and dance like no one’s watching.Doors will open at 6pm with dinner service from 6:30 and music beginning once the first wave of tapas is served. Three sets of music alongside three courses with the evening ending at approximately 10pm.
Your table booking will be made according to the number of tickets purchased. Please inform us if you would like to be seated with friends who have made a separate booking.
*Your ticket includes a 3 course Fiesta Menu. Menus will be finalised and sent out 3-4 weeks ahead of the event. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when purchasing your tickets.
