Za'atar is is a Middle Eastern spice mix, generally made from a combination of dried oregano, thyme, with sumac and toasted sesame seeds. At Casita Miro Restaurant we use it as a garnish for our Hummus. You can use this spice mix to jazz up any dish! Eggs, tomatoes, avocado, salads, baba ganoush, roast chicken or fresh pita bread.
